The monthly assessment for all Forest Hill Park members will be increasing to $100 per month effective January, 2015. Invoices sent in December, 2014 will reflect this amount due January 1, 2015. A meeting has been scheduled for Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 11:00am in the clubhouse to review the budget and answer any questions you may have.
After completing a preliminary 2015 budget, the Board of Trustees has determined that it is necessary to increase the monthly assessment from $75 to $100 starting in 2015. Every effort has been made to minimize the short-term impact of the increase. This means that additional adjustments will likely be necessary in future years to meet increasing costs and ensure funding for improvements. Again, the Board is working to spread these increases out over time to reduce the impact on the membership and avoid the need for special assessments.
This decision was not made lightly. The monthly assessment has not been increased in thirteen (13) years. This was made possible by leveraging monies set aside for long-term improvements such as the septic system. These projects are now complete and those monies are no longer available to offset expenses.
In addition to the increased monthly assessment, two other important financial changes will be implemented for 2015:
- The grace period for payments each month will be decreased from fifteen (15) days to ten (10) days. All payments received after the 10th of the month will be subject to late fees and finance charges.
- Forest Hill Park will accept credit card payments. If you have provided an email address to allow for electronic delivery of your invoices, you can use Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover to pay any outstanding amounts.
Please join us on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 11:00am at the clubhouse to review the 2015 budget, understand the financial changes and answer any questions you may have.
