Both Garden State Labs and the West Milford Health Department inspected the lake yesterday and have deemed it safe for swimming.  The algae is no longer present and is believed to have been simple green algae which is completely harmless.

Thanks! Great to know! I have done some research and
found the barley hay is being used and has been used in other lakes in USA and United Kingdom. It is organic, no chemicals and eats all algae( nitrates). Rutgers University has been working with the state of NJ on this research, And is having great success, England has been using his for years and years. How it works Look up Barley hay you will be amazed how cool this works! You wonder why other lakes are blue and clear well this is the secret!.
